In response to the heavily reported photo-feud between social networks Twitter and Instagram, a number of subscribers of both services are upset at changes to how photos shared across platforms have begun displaying this week.
Resident icnt.mx geek Tricil, who earlier shared this wonderful primer on social media mores, tones it down a bit but still keeps the quality high on this easy and free to use ifttt-based solution for Sharing Your Instagram Photos via Twitter correctly.

Photos, videos, and a short summary of Phish’s 2012 shows in Birmingham, Atlanta, and Charlotte
Once again, I took a few days off to catch a few Phish concerts this past weekend. Taking the weekend before Labor Day to catch three concerts in Birmingham, Atlanta, and Charlotte.
My last show was my trip to Vermont to visit friends and catch the Phish Flood Benefit concert. I uploaded a handful of photos to Instagram (also viewable on the sidebar,) and additionally a full photo gallery online. Enjoy the photographs, as well some video of the ending of David Bowie as performed in Charlotte.

Photos, setlist, and review of Spiritualized’s performance at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse in support of their recent album ‘Sweet Heart Sweet Light’
I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to see them live for the second time in the fifteen or so years I’ve enjoyed their music, which for me is a real treat as Jason Pierce has been a long-time personal favorite of mine and his touring is growing less frequent with age and his increased medical issues.
Trying my best to not watch the show through the 3.5″ screen of my iPhone I did have to take a few moments during the show to get some photographs, as I had secured myself a great viewing spot one person back from he lip of the stage.
One of the most intense shows I have seen in a while, even this morning waking up much of it remained with me. Very grateful for the opportunity to see them and not have to travel far to do so.

Fast Company is reporting that the Hipstamatic Photography app will soon offer direct integration for sharing photos to photo sharing app Instagram
Understood by many as rival applications, the move is interesting from a social networking standpoint; showing Instagram values its role as a photo sharing platform more than a vanity app for adding lomography affects to photos taken on mobile devices.
One of the fastest growing social networks, Instagram boasts a user-base of over 27 million users, expected to continue to grow rapidly as the company recently announced it’s plans to support Android devices.

With plenty traveling and stories in 2011, I compiled some memorable photos taken on my iPhone shared in Instagram
I joined Instagram a little over a year ago, say what you will about the filters but as a platform for sharing photos with friends and quickly posting them to the social network du jour it’s wonderful. The power of the camera in the iPhone 4 family is pretty astounding given it’s size, there was a time I’d at least carry a point-and-shoot everywhere I went just in case but I’m glad that I can get the same quality of photos my Canon SD800 gave me in something I carry in my pocket anyway.
With a lot of traveling and stories this year I felt it would be good to take a look at my feed from the past year, and pull out a few favorites and compile a short gallery of photos showing some highlights.

One of the cooler home projects I’ve seen in a while coming from the Mind of Magnus, posted to his Twitter and Instagram feeds. Magnus put together a short sketch/cut-out on a Post-It® note celebrating the gifts outlined in ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas.’ Some truly impressive work here
