Archie Pelago, a three-man outfit from Brooklyn, combines classically influenced cello, saxophone, and trumpet with contemporary music and modern technology for a sound that reaches beyond other electronic / instrumental collaborations in recent memory.

Lately, too many performers treat Ableton Live as DJ software, not leveraging the software’s potential to reshape music during  performance, a realization not lost on Archie Pelago.

Archie Pelago is: Cosmo D (Cello / Ableton), Kroba (Saxophone / Ableton), Hirshi (Trumpet / DJ)

Understandably, the work of these three has been in high demand. Their original productions appearing on Seattle’s Car Crash Set label, forthcoming studio collaborations with Grenier (DJG), remix work for Distal and HxdB signed to Tectonic Recordings,  video podcasts curated for Sonic Router, and Table Tennis, a podcast highlighting their influences for Percussion Lab, as well as an interview for the production focused website Create Digital Music.
